Troi Bechet founded the Center for Restorative Approaches in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. For Troi, a restorative approach offered an alternative to the culture of punitive justice systems – a way to resolve conflict and build equity through dialogue. Through their creativity, innovation, and a vision of peace at the center, restorative circles and learning-centered approaches have much in common.
